The Music program at Hampton Park Secondary College follows the engaging Musical Futures Approach to teaching and learning, making it a space where students’ passion for music is valued and nurtured. From Year 7 electives to senior-level VCE Music Performance, our program is designed to motivate students through practical music making, improvisation, and composition. The emphasis on aural learning, performance, and technology ensures that students gain a well-rounded musical education. Our Instrumental Music Program offers students the chance to learn various instruments, specializing in rock, pop, and contemporary music. Most importantly, we believe in making music fun, empowering students to explore their musical potential in a creative and enjoyable environment.

Additionally, our school offers opportunities for students to develop valuable skills through Debating & Public Speaking. The Debaters Association of Victoria Inc (DAV) runs our debating program, where students enhance their public speaking, critical thinking, and communication abilities. Being part of our debating team not only hones these skills but also offers a chance to participate in Model United Nations events, fostering diplomacy and international relations knowledge. Moreover, Hampton Park Secondary College hosts a variety of lunchtime clubs, providing a platform for students to explore diverse interests and connect with peers who share their passions. Our vibrant school community encourages students to get involved and make the most of their educational journey.
