Instrumental Music Program

Instrumental Music Program

Be a part of the HPSC Instrumental Music Team!

Hampton Park Secondary College offers an exciting Instrumental Music Program, which includes a variety of musical instruments to learn, specialising in rock, pop, and contemporary music.

The aim of our music program is to empower students by developing their love of music. Learning an instrument promotes exceptional teamwork and improves musical skills, as well as academic performance across all subjects. It has been proven that benefits of learning a musical instrument can also include improved academic results, stress relief, cognitive development, emotional and motor capabilities, building discipline, and even improved memory. Music gives a sense of achievement which in turn boosts confidence in all learning areas.

Instruments

Instrumental music lessons are offered in small group sessions for the following instruments: keyboard/piano, drums, acoustic/electric/bass guitar, vocals, and woodwind instruments such as clarinet, flute, or saxophone. Where possible, all students are encouraged to have their own instrument to practice on at home. keyboard and woodwind instruments can be hired from the school. Please contact us if you would like assistance with instrument purchase or hiring.
