House News
Dear Mabo Students and families,
We’re already a quarter of the way through the year, and what a fantastic start to the school year it has been! It’s been wonderful to see students settling into their routines, engaging in learning, and participating in the many activities on offer. Here’s a snapshot of what’s been happening and what’s coming up.
Highlights from the Term So Far
Welcome Events – Our start-of-year assemblies and welcome events set the tone for a positive and productive term. It was great to hear the success stories from our 2025 students.

Academic Focus – Teachers have been working hard to ensure students are engaged and challenged in their learning.

International Women’s Day
We recently recognise International Women’s Day, a day to celebrate the achievements of women, reflect on progress made, and acknowledge the ongoing work needed to create a truly equitable world.
The theme for this year reminds us of the need for urgent and sustained efforts to close the gender gap, advance women’s rights, and create a more inclusive society. At Hampton Park Secondary College, we are committed to fostering a culture of respect, learning, and working together—values that align with the spirit of this goal.
It is an opportunity for each of us to recognise the contributions of the women in our school community—our students, staff, families, and leaders—who inspire, lead, and create change every day. Currently at our college, we are fortunate to work with many highly dedicated and inspirational leaders.
Wellbeing Focus
Student wellbeing is always a priority. This term, we’re focusing on resilience and positive relationships. Teachers and wellbeing staff are providing activities to support students’ social and emotional development. If your child needs any additional support, please reach out.
Reminders
Uniform – Please ensure students wear the correct uniform as per school guidelines.
Attendance – Regular attendance is key to success. If your child is absent, please inform the school.
Communication – Keep up to date via our website and school app
Have a great break
