Welcome Back!
Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,
Welcome back to another exciting year at Hampton Park Secondary College! We hope that our year 8 to 12 students and families had a restful summer break.
As the school year began, we extended a warm welcome to all our students and families, especially our new Year 7 students and caregivers. Starting high school is a significant milestone filled with new opportunities, friendships, and experiences, and we were thrilled to welcome you into our school community. We encouraged you to embrace our school with enthusiasm and curiosity, and please know that the Freeman House Team is here to support you along the way.
We are fortunate to have a fantastic team in Freeman House who work closely with our students to ensure they feel supported and connected. Students are always welcome to visit the Freeman House office for help, advice, or even just a friendly chat. They can also contact a member of the team via email. Families are warmly encouraged to get in touch with us by phone or email if they would like to discuss their child’s progress or wellbeing.

At Freeman House, we are proud to be named after the great Australian Indigenous athlete Cathy Freeman. Cathy Freeman represents hard work, perseverance, pride, and a strong sense of community—qualities we strive to embody every day. In Freeman, we model our core school values of Learning, Respect, and Working Together. These principles guide us to aim for excellence, treat others with kindness, and collaborate to achieve success both inside and outside the classroom.
One of the highlights this term was our annual Swimming Carnival. It was a fantastic day that brought students from all year levels together to showcase their swimming skills, house pride, and sportsmanship. The energy of the day was a wonderful display of our house pride and College values of respect and working together. Congratulations to the Hollows House on their outstanding achievement, and a massive congratulations to all students, in particular our Freeman students who participated and contributed, gaining us some very valuable house points.
As we continue through the year, we look forward to many more opportunities for students to get involved—whether through sporting events, academic competitions, community initiatives, or everyday moments where they demonstrate our values and earn recognition.
We are proud of the way our students represent our school each day and look forward to a year filled with achievements and memorable experiences.
