House News

It has been a fantastic start to the year for Hollows House, and I am incredibly proud of the way our students have embraced Term 1. As a House, we have continued to achieve outstanding results across a number of areas, reflecting the collective effort and commitment of our students and staff.

A highlight of the term was our incredible success at the College Swimming Sports, where Hollows House took out the title for the third consecutive year, an outstanding achievement! Alongside this, we recorded the highest attendance average across all four houses, the second-highest number of values nominations, and the second-highest learning habits average. These consistent efforts have placed us in the top position for the House Cup at this stage of the year, and we are determined to maintain this momentum as we work towards bringing the title home at the end of the year.

While we celebrate these successes, we also recognise that there is always room for growth. It will take a collective effort from all members of Hollows House to continue showing up each day, giving our best, and demonstrating our College values of Respect, Learning, and Working Together in everything we do.

It has also been fantastic to see so many of our students actively involved in extracurricular opportunities. Many students have proudly represented the College in Rugby and Futsal tournaments, as well as Interschool Sport. We congratulate all Hollows House students who have contributed to these team successes throughout the term. With more sporting opportunities coming up next term and beyond, we look forward to continuing to support you as you shine both on and off the field and courts.

Our College Leadership students have been busy behind the scenes, working on a range of initiatives. This includes preparations for the upcoming Talent Show in Term 2, as well as representing the College at key events such as the ANZAC Day assembly, a recent leadership forum, and organising the Free Dress Day, which successfully raised funds for Foundation House. Their leadership and commitment to making a positive impact in our school community is commendable.

We also recently held our Student-Led Conferences, and it was fantastic to see so many students engaging in meaningful conversations with their teachers and families. These conferences are an important opportunity for students to reflect on their progress, celebrate their achievements, and identify areas for improvement. I encourage all students to take on board the feedback provided and set clear goals for their learning, ensuring they continue to strive for their personal best in all subject areas.

Thank you to all students, staff, and families for your ongoing support of Hollows House. We look forward to another successful term ahead.
